25 days of christmas

so my sister told me about this idea. it is a 25 days of christmas scrapbook...each day you will do something for christmas aaaaaaaand you then scrapbook it!!! the idea is you have the scrapbook done ahead of time and then all you have to do is insert the pictures and add journaling. well it would have helped if i got the scrapbook done. i decided to try it...my goal is to have the scrapbook done by christmas!!! so here is to my first 2 days of christmas!!! and not listening to my sister in the future!

day 1: we watched how the grinch stole christmas and ate popcorn!!!
day 2: yes, we made gingerbread houses and not only did i do it with my 2 children i thought it would be a great idea if they had a friend over so i had 4 kids making gingerbread houses! what was i thinking?!?! but we had a great time!!!
my son's masterpiece!!!
check out ali edwards blog for more ideas on her december daily scrapbook!!! http://aliedwards.com/blog.
so we will see how the rest of december goes?!?!

michelle and andrew / pronghorn wedding

i was going through some pictures and wanted to catch up on some summer shoots. michelle and andrew had a beautiful wedding at pronghorn in bend, oregon. it was a very classic and elegant wedding and i was so grateful to be part of their special day. i loved working with linda martinka of whimsy hollow photography and was excited she gave me this amazing opportunity!

susie and brien

where does time go? it seems like summer just started and i was going to have all this time to blog, finish my to do list, and have a lot of family time. well...here we are and school is about to begin. i have not blogged and my to do list is not much shorter, but i had an amazing summer that i am not sure i want to end!!!!! before i blog about some of my summer adventures i want to start off with an amazing day that i was able to share with such a dear friend.

i was honored to be able to spend a special day capturing memories that will last forever! susie and i have known each other for a long time. life get's busy and people drift apart, but you know you have a true friend when you can pick right back up where you left off. she already had an amazing photographer for her wedding but i was the lucky one to be behind the scenes capturing those special moments.

so here is to my dear friend:
this is my wish for you: comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, love to complete yourself. - lynnie buttercup
best wishes for you and brien ....with all my love, dodi

good sport.....

jordan… he loves the camera and the camera loves him. i had just located a great new area that i was anxious to use as the backdrop in my photos and jordan willingly hiked around to each new location, climbing wherever i asked… and he didn’t even complain about putting his feet in the willamette river. what a great sport!

so sweet

in between rainstorms and my daughter throwing a fit, i was able to catch a few memorable pictures. it is amazing to see how the boys can look so sweet and innocent in the pictures and five minutes later be wresting on the ground like brothers. they did a great job but my daughter was a lot of work!!!! i got my workout in for the day.....

one of my favorites.......why can't they be like this all the time!!!!

here is a glimpse of how the rest of the photo shoot went....

reid

if only everyone approached the world with reid’s attitude. i’ve known reid for years and can honestly say there are few people who are as kicked back as he is. a humorous outlook on life combined with a sharp intellect has defined who he is. reid takes great pride in his samoan heritage (he thanks his mom for his fair skin) and wanted to include some shirts that reflect his island heritage.
