rustic pear photography - seniors 2011

i was honored to have been able to take senior pictures of some amazing young men and women this past year. it was so great to learn more about each of them during the shoot and to hear the excitement in their voice about what the future holds. as a photographer i was so happy to have been part of their journey.

as a mother my heart breaks...each shoot i think, "soon this will be me watching my baby get ready to go out into the world." i know i can't keep them in a little cocoon protected from the world forever but i would like to.

as a teacher, it was joyful to see some of the kids that i have taught or have known since they were a child, to have grown up to be such outstanding young men and women. thank you to each of you and your families for allowing me the opportunity to capture a little part of each of your lives!!!

so i was wrong...another snow day!!!!

well i thought that we had our last snow day...i was wrong!!! it is march 1st and we woke up to snow!!! the kids were so excited and by 9 in the morning we had already played out in the snow, made snow angels, and a snow man.

my son thought it was fun to stand in the spray of the snow from the snow blower.

i had such a great time with susie and tyler. they are so cute together. we had a lot of fun taking some pictures with their 2 cute dogs. i can't wait until their wedding to capture more of the love that they share!!!

snow day!!!

so it was the last thursday of february and we had a snow day. let me tell you my husband who is a teacher loves a snow day as much as the kids do!!! just wanted to share a few pictures of the fun that we had in the snow!!!

blog fairy

so as you can tell i have not been updating my blog lately. i was really hoping the blog fairy would come and write my blog for me. during the night she could come, take my ideas, and when i wake up in the morning i would log in and my blog would be written. with all of my wishing and hoping the blog fairy did not come and write my posts.

so it is up to me!!! with a new year comes new goals. one of mine is to be more consistent on my blog...so for all of you out there that have come to read this you are going to have to put up with my posts, and writing errors...i was never a strong writer and that blog fairy is not coming!!!

here is the closest picture i had to a fairy. my little bumble bee is a year older and doesn't look so little anymore...
